The Socious Tools are unique in the way we help to facilitate online
communications between users in our Forums and ListServs because
we integrate them together. Having the online forums allows users
to search across all modules within the system, including the forums,
to find the information they want quickly and easily. Having the
ListServ interface allows users an easy way to communicate with
their peers directly through their email. By having the two integrated
together, we provide the ease of use and the ability to find past
discussions quickly which allows users to communicate the way they
want without missing a thing.
Users can also manage their ‘Subscriptions’ to ListServs
on their own. Users can tailor how they receive their ListServ emails
for each specific ListServ they are subscribed to. This puts more
power in the hands of the user and decreases administration for
the organization.
All communications that come in through the ListServ interface
are checked for viruses with the industry's latest virus detection
software. Your users can communicate with the confidence that their
discussions are secure and safe.

Highlights of the Integrated Forums and ListServs:
- The forum community is a complete discussion tool that provides
both listserv functionality and on-line forum based communications
in a single tool.
- New forum categories and topics may be easily created from within
the online administration tools.
- Private Groups forums can only be accessed by members of the
private group.
- Users posting to the ListServ addresses are authenticated with
the known email addresses having the ability to post. This eliminates
the erroneous posts from ‘spammers’.
- Attachments can be sent through the Forums/ListServ from either
interface. If the attachment is over a reasonable size, the system
automatically strips the attachment from the ListServ email and
instead provides a link to the attachment online. This reduces
the overload that is caused by a user sending a file that is inappropriate
to email due to size, and maintains the system's speed in delivery.
- User can ‘Subscribe’ to Forums within the system
which allows the forums to have a ListServ interface for that
user.
- Users can add and delete themselves from Forums/ ListServs by
clicking the ‘My Subscriptions’ icon found on virtually
every page of the system.
- All forums are moderated by users from the organization’s
user base. These moderators can easily edit and delete to keep
discussions on topic and keep unwanted content out.
