One of the best features of the Socious Tools is that we work with
each client to identify pricing options to fit their needs. The
needs of a small organization using the tools to manage project
communications are much different than the needs of a large association
managing their entire membership database and communications. While
we will tailor a pricing plan that can fit the needs of most any
organization, generally they will fall into one of four different
categories:
1. Monthly fee based on number of client members
and usage. This is primarily for corporate intranets, project teams
or larger associations and user groups who prefer not have a vendor
program and have revenue sources available (whether it is association
dues or conference fees). An initial setup fee is also charged.
2. Annual fee with offsetting vendor program run
by Socious. Socious sets an annual minimum cost for the organization,
and then will work to identify vendors and run a vendor program
for the organization. This option is the most common chosen by Socious
partners as it enables them to move forward with a fixed cost, while
having the ability to offset much, if not all, of the on-going expenses.
3. Full Vendor Program. Socious identifies qualified
organizations where we can help them sell a vendor based program
that offsets all fees. Clients choosing this option generally have
to sacrifice a small bit of access for vendors, but receive the
tools, hosting and support at no out-of-pocket cost. In fact, in
some cases a portion of revenues generated by the vendor program
are also shared back with the organization. Generally an initial
setup fee is waived.
4. Annual fee with offsetting vendor program run
by client. While similar in structure to method 2, with this method
Socious does not directly sell or solicit vendors for the client.
The client is required to pay both an annual fee and a usage fee
for each vendor they grant access to the site. They can then sell
a vendor program to offset some or all of the costs.
