Socious offers a configurable toolset that can be tailored to meet the needs of companies, associations and user groups. The toolset is comprised of individual but integrated modules that provide a comprehensive communication solution.

Socious Tools is comprised of an external website with security-controlled communications. The external site may contain static web pages and incorporate dynamic content from the information being shared behind the secure area. This can include your organizational information, conference pages and other information made available to the general population. The security-controlled communication tool is where the users of your community will spend most of their time to communicate and collaborate with the organization and their peers. This is where users can share information in Forums/ListServs and File Repositories, take part in Polls and Surveys, receive Emails, Track Issues, find other members and much more.

The application is offered in a hosted environment and is 100% internet based. It requires only a browser (IE 5.5 or above, Netscape 6.x or above, Mozilla 1.0 or above) to be accessed. The system is completely security controlled, taking advantage of the latest technology in role and user-based security. The Socious Tools are comprised of the following main modules:

• Group Profiles - A comprehensive method for tracking all the groups that participate within your organization. Track contact details, demographic information, products, group descriptions and more – all fully searchable!
• User Profiles - Each user that participates from one of your groups has their own unique profile. Track member contact information, areas of expertise, areas of interest and more – all fully searchable!
• Integrated Forums and ListServs - Powerful tools that provide secure discussion groups (available online or in listserv formats). A truly integrated method for enabling your collaboration and communication.
• File Repositories - One central place for users to access and share files.
• Surveys, Polls and Targeted Emails - Capabilities for soliciting feedback from member groups about issues of the day. The Email engine sends full HTML emails with graphics to all users, or specific users based on group and user profile information.
• Calendar - Schedule public and private events within the system for users to participate.
• Issue Tracking - Have your membership submit and track issues that are important to your organization through the Tools Issue Tracking module. From submission to resolution, the Socious TKM tool can help you manage the entire process.
• Search - Search, sort and organize your group communications. Knowledge and information is never deleted – enabling you to build a powerful knowledge base for all your members!
• Event Management - Socious Events is an event planning and management system that works in conjunction with the Socious toolset. The two systems are completely integrated, offering you the powerful communication capabilities of Socious along with robust event management functionality.
