The Survey and Poll functionality allows your organization the ability
to solicit feedback from the user base.
Polls allow one question and options for the users to be able to
answer. When users answer the poll, they see a graphical representation
of the voting from all users that have voted on that particular
poll. This provides a quick way to get feedback from
the users on the system.
When more detailed feedback is required, the Socious Tools offer
a robust surveying tool. Complete online surveys can be created
with drop-down boxes, radio buttons, text fields and more. Responses
can be viewed individually or aggregated and can be anonymous or
not.
Polls and Surveys can be general so that they go out to all users
of the system, or targeted, so they go out to specific users or
groups. Targeting of the Surveys and Polls is based on the information
stored in the Group and User Profiles so you can be sure you are
getting feedback from the appropriate users.
The Targeted Email Engine allows organizations to send out ‘blast’
emails to their users based on Group and User profile information.
Targeted emails can be full HTML with graphics and the appropriate
footer can be automatically inserted based on the group that is
sending the email. Considering the emails laws of today, appropriate
opt-out verbiage and options are sent with each email.

Highlights of the Surveys, Polls and Email Engine:
- Users and administrators can create polls using simple online
tools.
- Once a user votes on a poll, they will see a graphical representation
of all votes for that poll.
- There are two types of polls that the system offers:
- General Polls- These are polls that run on the home page
of the application and can be voted on by all users.
- Targeted Polls- These are polls that can only be voted
on by certain users. Targeted voters determined
at the set-up of the poll by using the user data to determine
which groups or users should be allowed to vote.
- All polls are stored in the system for viewing by members.
If the poll's end date has not yet been reached, users can continue
to vote on the poll. Users can always view
the results of polls that have closed..
- Users may create polls that are only viewable by users from
their own private groups.
- Surveys can be up to 255 questions, with numerous question
types (Text Box, Check Box, Radio Group, Drop Down List, etc.).
Surveys also offer the ability for the creator to control the
number of responses from each user, whether the respondents can
remain anonymous, and whether respondents can update a survey
after completion.
- Individual Survey responses can be viewed by authorized users
once the surveys have been answered.
- Two standard reports are available to aggregate the responses
in the survey
- Users may request a targeted email that will only be sent to
specific types of users based on group and user criteria.
- Users have the ability to send full HTML emails with graphics.
- Users determine the recipients of targeted emails by using
the information captured about users in the user and group database.
- Submitted Targeted emails will go into a queue where a system
administrator will be notified of the submission and can send
out the email.
- The system will send out the appropriate ‘footer’
to the email based on the group that is requesting the email and
appropriate removal instructions if the user would like to exclude
themselves from receiving further emails.
